Mine only display #sats, lat/long, hdop, speed, and heading.
Nice when operations can see unit locations, they can guide me to an incident or update others about my ETA without having to bother me. Gives me some accountability too... I have my Garmin I use for hours/mileage/etc logging, but there's also the location data that goes into CAD.
