Use two rods if you can but don't switch around, have one main one you spend 90%of your time on and one still one preferably no jig, just a small hook with a waxie tightlined (heavy weight at bottom of line, and then about a foot above the weight tie a hook with floro and a waxworm. Let it hit the bottom and then reel up so there is tension on the line but the weight hasn't lifted up from the bottom. I've had the same jig tied on my rod all year.
