Just completed my second long distance (well, for me) hike, which is also my first solo hike and the first one where I camped.
Just walked Offa's Dyke Path. I camped 2-3 nights, then a B&B, repeat. People were generally incredibly nice, especially further away from towns and such. Stuff like the campsite owner asking me if I want some of the risotto his wife was making, and then actually bringing it over to me while I was setting up my tent.
Definitely doing this again. I did C2C as my first hiking trip last year with a friend, luggage transfers and just day packs. I wouldn't call this trip better or worse, but the different experience of doing it solo is something special.
Now just 4 trains to take tomorrow and I'll be back home!
