Got skunked again today. Had one bite on maybe my 4th cast and my heart almost leapt out of my chest. That was all the action I had for today. Bunch of guys literally right across the river on the opposite bank were hooking up with one every 20 mins or so. I sat and watched for a while and I'm pretty sure almost all of these people were swinging egg imitations with split shot 2-3ft above the fly. I didn't have any split shot so I just kept throwing my streamer.
