sadly some pocket chainsaws do not actually have chainsaw blade rather some weird useless triangular teeth type and they don't actually cut the wood.
i have been promised a broken chain from a real chainsaw and i plan on making my own alternating direction saw chain but you can actually buy pocket chainsaws that are good.

This. There are plenty of tests and reviews on youtube. Every single one manual chain saw sucks. If you want one, you'd better know how to make a frame for it (my pic) and also carry the cordage required.
