If we could halt progress in the late 1800's that'd be pretty cool and the vast majority could again have a lifestyle that's compatible with human nature i.e imposes the necessary restrictions. AnPrim is unrealistic though and would eventually just lead to death by asteroid.
We could coat the world in bioweapons that target certain genetic markers for undesireables (hint: nonwhites. Also probably United Statesians) then Europeans can duke it out over the newly cleansed, vast spaces. Then again maybe that would repeat the America mistake by creating an empire that again gains hegemony and exports trash like notions of civic identity.
Unless we somehow get an absolute madlad in power we'll just have to hope for a convergence of catastrophies to clean house. Ganbatte, nature-san!
