The old growth trail is slightly harder, maybe 80 ft of elevation gain, half a mile I think. Definitely worth it. Make a right at the loop divide for old growth trail to see the big tol trees and then just head back after them if you want a bit easier.
If you want a challenge you could walk 500 ft over to I think it is called john's run or something, something john, in a slightly separate parking lot just a bit down the road from the old growth interpretive trail and is a connecter trail to the allegheny trail, a long distance trail, if you were ok splitting up the allegheny trail also connects southbound to the old growth loop and you could just go ahead of people.
Tea creek backcountry also has a ton of short-to-long interconnecting loop options.
