>>325325Treat them like most garden plants. I suggest having a rotating crop in 2 ways. 1 is with a few different types of strawberries that fruit at different times of the year. That way you always have strawberries ripening. 2 is to have extra sets of pots so you can plant some of the runners they send out. Strawberries have a habit of overgrowing themselves and dying out from the middle of the patch out to the edges. this is a cycle that takes a couple years at least. To prevent it, you can just keep adding new pots to your collection and relocating the oldest plants after a couple years in the pots.
Here's my strawberry bed. This is its second year and first full crop. I took these pics just this morning. I was able to get 1/2 a pound of strawberries for breakfast.
