>>173895> The lion share of the money goes to the promoters of the hunt and the land owners, not to parks or conservation efforts. The lion's share of the money should go to the promoters / land owners, as without them there wouldn't be any hunters
coming to the country in the first place, to spend their (substantial amount of) money.
Money which also goes into the general economy, as well as funding conservation efforts to preserve the natural habitat
that animals need to survive and most importantly; paying for game keepers to stop the dirt-poor, assbackward natives
from poaching the shit out'a everything in sight and selling the trophies to the Arabs and Chinese.
The great lie of the envirokook fringe, is that Western hunters killed off all the animals in Africa but the fact is that until the
post-WWII decolonization of Africa, the entire continent was swarming with wildlife and there was game preserves all over
the place.
It was only when Africans took control of their own countries in the 1950s-60s, that the mass extinctions started, as big game
hunting was banned as "racist" while the countryside was thrown wide open to the natives to do as they pleased and without
the money from Western hunters, there was no cash to pay for park rangers and habitat preservation and the natives promptly
killed everything.
Conservation and environmentalism was invented in the West. If it wasn't for hunters and their money, there wouldn't be an /out/doors.
