If you don't want to deal with weighted swimbait hooks or Texas rigging the flukes but don't want to risk losing $8 Rapalas or $11 Yo-Zuris all the time, pic related is a good alternative. Storm and Tsunami are the companies that make these (except the firetiger one with the orange belly is PowerBait I think). A 6pk of Tsunamis runs about $5 so they are <$1ea. The ones with the single hooks coming out of the top are really hard to get snagged on stuff too which is nice. The weights are inside and the 3" ones are pretty heavy so you can cast them really far with 8lb mono or 20lb braid. The ones with the trebles underneath will hook fish a little better but you will also catch a lot of weeds.
