I know he's got some real nice stuff set aside for me (man has 200+ rods and 100 or more reels) but he's waiting for me to actually show interest before just giving things to me. Frankly I don't want him giving me a $1500 rod and reel combo to mess up. I'm thinking I want to spend around $200 on a starter setup.
I've researched the shit out of fly fishing for trout. I know nothing about bass or other freshwater fish though. What differs when stalking them? I've always just thrown lures for bass, pike, etc.
