>>1252972I've only held warthog and hippo ivory... but I'd say it's closer to ivory. It's not too slippery dry. Sometimes knife makers add texture to horn to improve the grip if it makes up the majority of the handle. If it's like a deer antler with a taper to the end of the handle, that would be more prone to grip issues and you might want to avoid that.
