I live on the east coast (Canada), and mostly just wanted to know what kind of gear I absolutely need to have in the woods. I have no intention of going very deep into the wilderness or sleeping in a tent, and overall I want my first year out to be pretty low-key and just have it serve as a way to learn some stuff.
I could've just looked this stuff up, but I thought it would be valuable to tap some knowledge directly from people who are more experienced than I am, and I don't know any hunters. Any tips would be appreciated.
