Reason being you now need the approval of everyone in the cab, whether it's just me and the engineer, or there are supervisors, brakeman or trainees aboard. Puts us in a difficult position and with that many people they're most likely gonna tell you to get lost (politely) but very unlikely to report you.
Having said that, if I stumbled upon you while I was out on the ground working with the train on my own. I would let you go about your merry day, cautioning you or who-ever it may be.
Though as a crew, guys aren't gonna risk their jobs so you can get a free ride, nor do they want to live with the guilt if you happen to roll under the wheels.
Generally incredibly poor idea to approach the cab, plus the addition of cameras and some paranoid railroaders, microphones I wouldn't bother going there, even if you're good intentioned and just try to politely state your case.
