>>1648494Depends on where you are and the time of year. I'm in central NC, and ive been smashing the crappie at night in 40ft deep water with no structure. The fish are suspended at 25ft chasing shad. I also rake them in at bridge pilelings at the same depths.
They seem to feed in stages, but I can snag the odd one now and again between feeding fenzies.
