Most woody areas are sparse enough a sled can squeeze through. There's pockets where the trees are dense enough you can't poke your way through, but can usually find a way around. Then you get out into the meadows (or on frozen lakes) and have some fun, then back into the trees.
Boondockin is the best riding.
