>>1309229Today was better than yesterday. I couldn't find a decent place to hitchhike so I just couchsurfed the night to start again today.
Woke up, went and watched the England game and studied Google maps. I found the perfect spot to get on the I66 and got a ride within 12mins from an Egyptian guy but he was only going half the distance and he dropped me of some at shopping mall which was terrible so I went to some taco restaurant to charge .y phone and again study gmaps. Took me hours to find a spot, although maybe I was just being picky. Eventually I decided to try get on the highway instead of the interstate and walk about 30mins to this spot where I waited for almost an hour before I was picked up. Because this is my first time ever hitchhiking I wasn't sure if I was even gonna get picked up because the cars were going by so fast but eventually I got picked up by a super cool dude. He said he was peuto Rican but born in Washington.
He took me on a scenic route to show me some cool spots nearby including an historic civil war battleground and even brought me Wendys. I didnt even ask or imply that I was hungry, he just offered out of the blue. Ended up taking me to the door of my workaway which is in the middle of nowhere and waited outside to make sure that the people were in just in case.
I only arrived at my workaway a couple of hours ago but it's a super cool agrotourism farm with alpacas, llamas and goats. If it was light out I would take a pic, so instead I'll just post the pic of the sign I used to get here
