>>2663915there are as many definitions of camping as there are campers. i personally think of myself as a car camper but i cannot understand why you would set up a fixed camp when doing so? pack your gear in the morning, drive around, hike, fish, whatever, camp on a different spot in the evening, somethimes 1000km away. thats why i CAR camp. and i never share campsites with anyone its so easy to find truly desolate places with no people and feeling of being in wilderness.
same for hiking just far less distance covered per day and less comfort.
regular camping here means pic related, fully serviced campsites that caters for everyone, swimming pools, golf course, boat rental, you name it.... and its not /out/ related at all. many tourists has fallen for this when typing "campsite" into google maps not knowing they could just drive into some deadend mountain road instead.
