So a couple of years back there was a pretty big storm, during which a combination of rain softening the soil and severe winds pushed over this cactus. I kept wanting to get around to it more important things kept coming up and this got shelved indefinitely. I finally have time to clean this up, but honestly, I'm at a loss. I'm, uhh, definitely not a landscaper, so anything I can think of doing makes this look like shit. I hoped piling some larger stones up on it would make it look better, but now it just looks like an overturned cactus with landscaping fabric that someone tossed a bunch of stones on. That is to say, like total garbage.
I vaguely considered surrounding it in stones or bricks and putting some more plants (succulents? another cactus or three?) on top of it but as you can see it didn't turn out great. It's probably about a foot or two above the surrounding ground, each of the arms on the cactus in the picture are close to a meter, for scale reference. I'm wondering if there's any way I can beautify it. Can anyone recommend anything?
