>>1535294Anon so many people get hung up on elevation. It's a really cool mountain range and has just amazing and brutal weather. I spent 3 days hiking the Presidential Range and it was gorgeous. Being out in a lightning storm on Mt. Washington overnight is one of the best experiences I've ever had. The fact that there's no risk of altitude sickness and yet so many people die up on that mountain range says something. A summer thunderstorm can come out of nowhere and turn into sleet without any warning. Most days there's no visibility even when the weather's sunny beautiful everywhere else. It's totally a unique and worthwhile place to get /out/.
