You are better off playing regular tabletops with your friends, since it allows having whatever adventures you like and want. Bonus points if you and your group go and play on some location, or even go /out/ for a week or two on some thematic hike or cruise. It gives the ultimate experience and in the same time assures your group isn't made out of disfunctional basement dwellers. Just remember to pack extra dice, you never know when you will lose them
