>>1144699>when the options aren't? Smells like hipster mentalityYou're not paying attention to reality - typical for a little kid's mentality, you've invested too much of your ego into your argument that you're so distracted trying to save face that you haven't bothered to compare the position you've taken against the real world.
User error trumps all. You can pitch your $450 "fail safe," "bombproof" tent, with its waterproof bathtub floor, in the flattest, driest spot in camp, but that doesn't mean shit when it starts raining if the soil on that spot has poor drainage. Water will puddle and then come in over the bathtub rim and soak your sleeping bag, whether it's a $100 tent or a $700 tent. Reality doesn't care about the marketing buzzwords that were used to sell you your tent.
By the way, if you reply to this post saying "But I wouldn't be retarded enough to pitch MY tent where water would puddle," then you'd have just admitted that I am correct - which you should do, of course, since I am. But this isn't about me being right, it's about what's true.
