For the same price you get an amazingly good shock resistant, sub-freezing rated, dust and weather-sealed camera. The guy at my local camera shop worked for Nikon for 25 years and said when he retired the first camera he bought was a Pentax K-50 (same one I own which is why he brought it up). Most underrated DSLRs on the market and you can easily find videos of people burying them in dirt and washing them off in the shower. I personally highly recommend.
