I've been using a wool blanket as a cloak lately and been surprised at how well it holds up in heavy rain, especially with a little lanolin. But it still takes on water eventually so I'd like to replace it with something else. The problem is that rain falls loud on everything else I've tried and I'd rather not be deprived of my hearing.
