Decided on the layout for my little 10x12 raised bed garden this year. I figure that putting the lettuce in the partial shade by the fence will reduce the likelihood of it bolting as soon as summer rolls around (also, it is a Syrian breed, so it should be more adapted to summer heat than most other breeds).
