100% of Great Britain's "wilderness" consists of cultivated forests that have been cultivated since the Middle Ages at least, and the largest carnivores are foxes, badgers, and polecats.
It's also been made so difficult for poor people to own firearms hunt in the UK that they by and large don't do it, so nothing has really changed since the days when "poaching" game on the aristocracy's land (i.e., all of the land) was punishable by death.
The main difference is that now the country is filling up with undesirables and foreigners, whilst all of the colonies and conquerdoms are gone.
