>>1725953>letting it dry to the point of almost wiltingRight. The other Anon,
>>1725918 is basically right, too; you don't want to wait until it's completely wilted by any means, but I usually wait until the very tips of a couple leaves have lost their firmness.
>only pinch sweet varietiesI'm not an expert on peppers, so I wouldn't be able to tell you if it's not good for some varieties, but I have noticed that it works better on some plants like cannabis better than it does on others like Stevia. If you're worried about whether or not it'll be beneficial in your particular instance, do half one way and half the other, and compare the results at the end (and post about it). A lot of the time, we're doing things that are kind of unconventional to how the plant wants to grow, and that does more harm than good, but is still common practice. The only way to know for sure is to experiment.
My turn: grain/coffee spawn was soaked 12 hours, pressure canned with 1/8 hole and coffee filter cover, then wiped with isopropyl and opened in a glove box and inoculated with 2-3 pieces of oyster stem center-cut. One jar has what looks like tan pin mold, the other two look like pic related. First time getting this far without green mold, so I don't know if this is healthy oyster mycelium or not. I'm about two weeks in at this point, ~60F so I think it's spreading too slow to be cobweb.
