Winter is long. We get a decent amount of snow, but it usually melts off with in a few days, them repeat. It can get pretty cold, but when coupled with the wind, it's rough. I spent 5 years in Anchorage before here, I prefer those winters to here. They're more consistent and significantly less wind to worry about.
