That’s what I use because winter camping I have no other way of carrying everything without that freighter part, I put my tent and large sleeping pad outside the pack on that ledge. How do you guys fit everything in those small internal frame packs? I am old and need to be comfy so I guess I pack a lot and refuse to pay for a lighter down bag or tiny tent. I also just bought a 5lb cot so I think my pack is going to be 50lbs.
