But it all depends on how much you pay for it I guess, if you just want a cheap bag it'll do the job. But when I'm in the field in the army I never see anyone use them, everyone uses aftermarket bags like 5.11, SOC and such. Because if you are going to have to carry things around for a while the issued pack isn't very comfortable or good.
I picked up an SOC bug out bag for like 55 bucks so that's what I'm using. It has metal slats in the back so it provides some kind of frame if I have to carry an ASIPS and a bunch of batteries for it. It also has a pretty thick back so I've never had a corner of a battery dig into my back, it's also treated to be a bit water resistent in case you get light rain (I'm in Washington so all the time here).
