For our surf in norcal, tungsten seems help a lot unless it's almost glass calm. Completely lost contact with the normal jigpara jigs up to 30g but the tungstens worked well. Got a few hits on a 32g tungsten in cotton candy colors but only landed one 14" jacksmelt. Good day for a first time shore jigging though. Can't wait until I go on a calmer day to fish with some of the normal type and micros I bought.
