>>2514592This is our first winter with them. We have two coops, each 4'x4' footprint made out of 23/32 RTD and Suntuff roofs. Water is in a 15 gallon tub with a submersible heater. I've got all the hens (9) in one coop right now so they stay extra warm. They still have the option to venture out but only 2 have made brief forrays outside so far since it dropped below 5F. I moved their food in the coop and am running fresh water out to them a few times per day.
So far everything seems alright. Only thing is a few of the have some poop/pee frozen to their hind feathers. I'm not sure if there's anything I'd be able to do about that and it's getting back up above freezing in a few days here so I figured I'd leave it be.
