For now, I just plan on riding on the road and paved bike paths for exercise but when I get under 275 lbs I want to start doing some light trail riding. What bikes do you think will suit me? Will I be fine with a normal bike as long as I don't drop off curbs and stuff like that?

Pic related is the bike I'm considering. The Giant Roam 4 Disc. Their website says their bikes have a weight limit of 300 lbs. Thoughts?
