>>1282651In my experience goats are assholes and not worth any benefits they may offer. That might stem from our goat growing up always ramming me. Guy was a dick and didn't do much except shit EVERYWHERE. We didn't have that house or property for long, at least from what I remember, but we always just did maintenance ourselves after that. Briar bushes and blackberry bushes are very think in my home area, I used a machete and pick axe for most of it. Guess my parents figured I was more useful than a goat. I'm curious what benefits goats actually bring to a homestead besides yard maintenance and fertilizer?
Due to the fiance's furthering of education we are stuck in an apartment complex on the outskirts of suburbia. While it's very hard to become self suffecient in this area, there is a nature park/Mountain right behind where we jog just over 3 miles a day, through very nice woods. It helps getting just a little /out/ every day when surrounded by city bullshit. Pic related from earlier this spring.
