Been going out to help my mom with her garden every week or two. Found a whole lot of these things today, mostly hanging out on weeds, a few on various garden plants, but the only garden plant with damage was the potatoes. I figured they're possibly an aphid eater or something. At any rate, I told her to leave the weeds and the bugs, because everything seemed to be doing fine, and I'm going back on Sunday with tobacco tea for the potatoes and calcium nitrate for the corn that looked just a little yellower than I'd like.
What's this bug, and is my "stop giving a shit and let nature work it out" philosophy beneficial or harmful?
