Where I live, even in the summer I sometimes have problem with it, and it's hardly mentioned in /out/ & bushcraft vids because most of those people are posers.
The most hardcore experience was when I learned the art of drying my clothes on my body during 3 day intense training in rainy summer. But I was mobile most of the time so the body kept producing lots of heat.
>>1431209Yes. Last weekend I tested pic related as anon suggested, and emergency tinfoil blanket, all under german army sleeping pad & I used a 3x3m tarp. It was -4C, snowing, and they worked great.
I slept in a bag, off course.
