When I said pesticides arent selective - I was meaning insecticide not being selective. You spray your roses to kill the aphids, you kill the parasitoid wasps too. You kill the natural control because your control isnt selective enough.
I used pesticide when I should've used insecticide. But please don't try to portray me being ignorant when you're trying to pass off Order level selectivity as being ecologically "selective" in the way I was meaning.
