I have heard that high-nitrogen fertilizer is good for promoting leafy growth in peppers - out of the 3 fertilizers here, would the orchid one be the best for my peppers when I overwinter them? I am looking to keep them alive, maybe get fresh foliage ready for the next growing seasons so I can get better yields.
I've never used fertilizer before, just had these hanging around in my drawer because I went spending-happy when I first got into gardening. Am I correct in thinking that the high nitrogen fertilizer will promote growth of foliage while the higher phosphorous one will encourage flowering after the peppers have been put out next season?
