>>89220I split it between the ruck and the OR black bag on the lower right, which straps to a rear carrier rack on the bike. If I am strictly backpacking all of it fits in a different, slightly larger ruck. If the bike fails for some reason I can strap the OR bag onto the ruck somehow and walk out.
>weightNot sure how much it all weighs. I try to avoid that subject. I worry about function first. I want stuff that will hold up. Lightness is important, but a secondary concern. I never have used a scale, but I know when I am carrying a couple beers, like when I am on a short one or two day trip.
Pic is the key I made when I did the composite a while ago. Some of this stuff has changed a bit, but the set-up is basically the same. My inspiration has always been Colin Fletcher, hence the ground lay-out for the pic. I try to follow his basic guidelines and improve when I can.
