upside down fire with stacks of kindling and tinder on top. drop a lit faggot, wax firestarter, or similar down to the bottom of the kindling and watch'er go. upside down fires burn for ages with little maintenance. i use several full sized logs packed at the bottom and a large stack (2ft tall or more) of limbs and medium logs on top of that. it can take about 10mins of maintaining the fire on top with sticks and kindling, but once the china syndrome starts you can relax, get comfy, and start getting drunk
