>>566518Justin embarked on a 2,000-mile trek across mountains where he learnt survival skills and how to hunt. At first he lived in a teepee but then he discovered a disused log cabin in the woods.
He now lives there alone with no running water or electricity. He has a wood burning stove to protect him from the freezing winter temperatures and the toilet is just a hole in the ground.
He admits he doesn't wash often but it doesn't matter since he rarely sees anyone.
'I put a hot pot of water over the fire and wash real quick. If I don't plan on going anywhere I am fine for weeks. A month is probably longest I have gone and that was a god awful smell,' he told Ben when he visited him to film his Channel 5 series.
Justin shoot and traps most of his own food and makes his clothes after mastering the art of deer hide tanning.
Despite people doubting he would be able to cope with such an isolated, primal existence, he's been happily living this way for seven years.
He said: 'At first my parents were 100 per cent no, you can't do this you can't make it, you're crazy.
'But I have been interested in primitive skills for a long time so it was the perfect out. It was tough but there is only one way to learn this stuff by trying it.'
The self-made wilderness expert admits he would be willing to share his life with someone in the future - but only if they could embrace his way of living.
For the past six months he has had a girlfriend - Tori. The pair met through a friend who introduced them because she was interested in tanning hides.
