I just patched two know routes together, start in Thorsmörk, take the Laugavegur in the south for nice hiking scenery, followed by a desert trek trough Sprengisandur. I'll take the western route and will cross the desert to Nyidalur. Then again cross the desert for some spa in Laugafell.

Do it solo, will be sending provisions to Landmannalaugar and Nyidalur. Backpack is 19.5kg dry weight.
