I have like 4 pairs of Alfa M77's after having served in the Norwegian army and army reserve. I just found one of the pairs which was brand new, hiding in my dad's base and which I have started using in order to get ready to trek in the mountains in the summer.
The first week/100-200 km is going to suck as you need to walk them in, with plenty of blisters guaranteed. Using two layers of socks, one normal and one wool really helps. After the honeymoon period tho, these are fucking epic. They are surprisingly light and give this snug fit.
It also gives me the urge to kick somebody's face in with them too, but that's another case.
