Caught 3 dink smallmouth, 1 bigger than this one that I dropped as soon as I popped him out of the water and couldn't get a picture of and one smaller, in about an hour. Factoring in the current these guys put up more of a fight than 3-5lb largemouth I've caught in reservoirs with the same gear.
I wish I could do more creek fishing but it's hard to do in West Virginia because there's not a lot of wild streams since the terrain means that all civilization is right smack dab by the river, plus there's not very much walkable river bank.
