I've burned all my bridges as an alcoholic and no more life lines. Recently I detoxed without medical help and it was a fucking horrifying experience, but i've learned a lesson from it.
the problem is, i live in midwest and it's cold now and even going to be colder. i've read to stay away from shelters, but where else can I go to have a warm place to sleep? where can I go for food and other things? i'm new to the whole thing, but some advice would be great.
