>>1574571It depends on how big the animal is. If it's anything smaller than a big red deer, then you can probably carry it on your back using either a fireman's carry or the "deer backpack" method. If it's a larger animal (elk, moose, etc.) here are a few options that come to mind. All of these will require you to quarter the animal, and remove any other meat and the cape+horns/antlers.
1. Pack it out using a frame pack (pick-related is an example)
2. Use a horse to pack it out.
3. Use an ATV
4. If you have a friend(s) with you, get them to share the load.
Deboning also reduces the weight and volume considerably.
