>>1833198Depends how far your going. If you're really anxious to keep the weight down, carry a gas burner and some sort of noodles/ramen. Then just quickly boil some water, and you've got your meal. If you do have the luxury to cook on a open fire then I'd say sausage, bacon and eggs (pic related - it is comfy camping thread after all) never fail to make a good breakfast. For dinners, if you're staying in the same place, its very easy to just bring a cast iron pot, make a stew and cook it in the embers for several hours. If you can't be arsed to lug a pot try something like

1) 3 rashers of bacon on the bottom of the foil
2) Mix beef mince, onions, kidney beans, salt, pepper and chili powder then put it on the bacon
3) Add some thin slices of potato on top, wrap in 2 layers of foil and then put it in the fires embers for about 30/45 minutes
