Is this how you rot cow dung into manure? I leave it open air or partially covered in the sun, mix it every day, and water it when needed. How long to expect until it’s garden safe? The one on the right has gone for a couple weeks now, and smells composty.
I also anaerobically rot grass clippings, leaves, organic matter in a garbage bin, then throw the sludge on a partially open tarp, keep it wet, and looks like it’s been turning into compost, and the rotten egg smell is gone. Is this alright too?
