Everything from the house-including the pipes and tobaccos-is packed up and in storage, so I had to pick some stuff from the drugstore.
Took my own advice and got a MM Legend. They're still a great smoking pipe, and the best value out there by far. As for the SWR, this is my first bowl of it ever.
As for taste comparisons: it's milder than either of its competitors Prince Albert (which has a nuttier flavor) or Carter Hall (which has a fuller flavor I prefer of the three), but has a stronger nicotine hit than either. Not bad overall though. Being a burley, it doesn't bite at all, has a very mild aftertaste and stays lit all the way down, making it an excellent beginner's choice.
