>>1419904Here’s what I’ve been using for the last 3 weeks:
Clothes:
>Nice looking shirt (helps when wandering into hotels to go raid room service carts, and with hitching/ general kempt appearance helps with life)>A raincoat that I can sleep in for warmies >warm baselayers>wool/nylon suit trousers (Won’t smell, good /out/ trousers, look smart, easy to clean and don’t crinkle, can easily work out stains>liner gloves>mittens>wear sleeping quilt as poncho under my jacket, looks fine and works well, just wear arm warmersSleep:
>Vapour barrier (trust me, you don’t want to build up moisture long term in a down sleeping bag when you don’t have time, weather or space to lay it out to dry)>down quilt >balaclavaShelter:
>a bivy I made, out of cuben fibre and Goretex shakedry (expensive materials but I bought em second hand, so $120 total price)>an umbrella for sitting up in bivyCooking:
>an alcohol stove, see Starlite stoves or the infamous Fancee Feest>fuel, can’t take it on planes. Go to your local Poundland for some rubbing alcohol>lighter, same>Titanium pot>wooden spoon>toilet paper. Use leaves, rocks and snow when you have the courage. Use this as tinder for wood fires>water bottle. Aluminium or turn the cool pot into a BOT using a silicon stretch lid to avoid BPA
